The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) allows the Province of Manitoba to appoint qualified business investors admitted as permanent residents in Canada. The goal of the program is to attract investors who intend to live in the province and facilitate their immigration process so that they can invest in Manitoba and do business. To qualify for appointment under this program, candidates must have net assets of at least C$350,000, have three years of senior-level business ownership and management experience, and achieve at least 60 points in the adaptable evaluation matrix. In addition, applicants must be prepared to make an eligible business investment of at least $150,000 in the province. While this proportion does not exceed British Columbia`s percentage of total immigration, the need for flexibility to meet emerging humanitarian needs is recognized.
